Mr Dominic Grier

Dominic is an experienced and highly-respected teacher of conducting and considers this to be a hugely important element of his work as a musician. He has been Tutor in Conducting at the Royal Academy of Music since 2016 (having previously held the position from 2009-11) and is responsible for the undergraduate conducting provision there, in addition to directing a special second-study postgraduate course. He teaches additionally at the RAM's Junior Department where he is also conductor of the Symphony and Classical orchestras.
He is co-founder and Director of the highly-regarded Girton Conducting Course, initially based at the University of Cambridge from 2021, and now at the University of Chichester; and Director of the George Hurst Foundation. He currently also has a number of private students in London, West Sussex, and surrounding areas.
